Alexandra Mendès

From 2012 to 2014, Mendès was president of the federal Liberal Party’s Quebec wing. She has been an MP once before, from 2008 to 2011 in the former riding of Brossard—La Prairie. In 2006, she worked on Bob Rae’s campaign for the federal Liberal leadership. From 1997 to 2006, she was an assistant to Liberal MP Jacques Saada.
Before entering politics, Mendès was executive director of the Maison Internationale de la Rive-Sud, a community organization that settles new immigrants.
