Lawton owns Lawton Media Inc., a media and public relations consulting firm. He was employed by the right-wing media outlet True North (now Juno News) from 2018 to 2024, becoming the editor-in-chief of its news service in 2024.
Beginning in 2013, Lawton hosted a radio show, The Andrew Lawton Show, on CFPL in London, Ontario, which was suspended in 2015 after he wrote a Facebook post calling gay men “the real enemy” for spreading HIV/AIDS.
In 2012 and 2013, he hosted Lawton Live on Faith FM in London. He is the author of two books: The Freedom Convoy: The Inside Story of Three Weeks that Shook the World (2022) and Pierre Poilievre: A Political Life (2024).
