Before being elected to parliament, Ntumba was a political attaché and coordinator at the City of Montreal from 2023 to 2025. From 2018 to 2025 he was a manager and then executive director of Mwali, an organization that advocates for legal gender equity. From 2018 to 2021, he was a project lead at Transport Canada.
