Charles Sousa

Before being elected to parliament, Sousa was a senior advisor at Loyalist Public Affairs, a lobbying firm. During the same period, he was a director at IC Savings and Wealth One Bank of Canada, an advisor at the consulting firm Valorem Insights, and a consultant with Chazen Consulting, a property development consulting firm. From 2019 to 2022, he was also a director of Canadian University Dubai.
From 2007 to 2018, Sousa was a member of the Ontario provincial parliament, holding several cabinet positions including Minister of Finance.
Prior to entering politics, he held several director positions at RBC Financial Group between 1987 and 2007. From 1982 to 1997, he owned and operated Lift Finance, a factoring firm.
Sousa jointly owns two rental properties and a rental garage in Nazare, Portugal. He holds an interest in Vale Paraiso, SGPS, S.A., a real estate holding company in Nazare.
