David McGuinty

Before being elected to parliament, McGuinty was from 1995 to 2004 the president and CEO of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy, a federally funded environmental advisory program. During the same period, he was the national program director for Lead, a leadership development nonprofit.
From 1992 to 1995, McGuinty was a lawyer at the UK-based firm Gouldens Solicitors (now Jones Day) where his practice focused on corporate mergers and acquisitions. From 1993 to 1995, he was also legal counsel for the International Development Law Organization.
McGuinty is the brother of former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty, Jr. and the son of former Ontario MPP Dalton McGuinty, Sr.
