Allison touts himself as an accomplished businessman, as does the mainstream media. From 1995 to 2008 he owned the Harwood Group, whose assets included several Tim Hortons and Wendy’s franchises. Allison has an interest in several businesses through his private equity firm Griffin Phoenix Capital.
