Before entering politics, Lavack was CEO of the Franco-Manitoban Cultural Centre from 2017 to 2025. From 2020 to 2017, she was the executive director of the Festival du Voyageur, an annual winter festival in Saint-Boniface, Winnipeg.
From 2007 to 2009, Lavack worked in communications for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. From 2001 to 2007, she was an events manager for Tourism Winnipeg.
