Before entering politics, Ramsay practised family medicine in Sainite-Julie, Quebec from 2012 to 2024. He was also a coroner from 2005 to 2025. From 2018 to 2025, he was also an administrative judge at the Quebec Administrative Tribunal. During these periods, he also held administrative roles at public sector health organizations from 2010 to 2015.
