Groleau owns a number of businesses in the Beauce region of Quebec, including two grocery stores, and a restaurant and bar. From 2000 to 2012, he was a director at Labatt Breweries.
Groleau was a junior and semi-professional hockey player until 2008. He in the QMJHL from 1993 to 1997, including a stint as captain of the Victoriaville Tigres.
