Jean-Denis Garon

Before entering politics, Garon was a professor of economics at the Université du Québec à Montréal’s business school for 13 years. During the same period, he was a commentator and columnist for several Québecor media outlets, as well as for the radio stations FM93 Québec and CKOI. From 2009 to 2012, he was a teaching fellow at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. In 2007 he was briefly an economist at Quebec’s Ministry of Finance.
Garon and his common-law partner, Dihya Ferrat, co-own a rental property in Montreal.
