John Williamson
Details:
Before being elected to parliament, Williamson was the director of communications for the Prime Minister’s Office under Stephen Harper from 2009 until he began his election campaign in 2010. From 2002 to 2008, he was employed by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, a conservative advocacy group, becoming its national director in 2004.
Williamson was a co-founder of the editorial board of the National Post in 1998, a position he held until 2001.
Williamson and his spouse hold significant investment assets in the form of shares and fixed-income securities.
