Judy Sgro

Before becoming an MP, Sgro was a Toronto city councillor from 1998 to 1999 and a councillor for North York from 1987 until the municipality was amalgamated into Toronto at the end of 1997.
Sgro was the Minister of Immigration from 2003 until 2005 when she resigned from cabinet after it was alleged that she had engaged in political favouritism, including offering to intervene in the immigration hearing of a Brampton pizzeria owner, in exchange for free pizza for her campaign staff.
Sgro holds significant shares of the Bank of Nova Scotia, Enbridge, and Suncor Energy.
