Before entering politics, Bardeesy was the executive director of The Dais, a public policy think tank at Toronto Metropolitan University. From 2011 to 2016, he worked in the offices of Premiers Kathleen Wynne and Dalton McGuinty.
Bardeesy has also worked as a columnist and business writer for publications including the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and Slate.
