Details:

Before entering politics, Borrelli was a program manager at Community Living Windsor, a subsidiary of Community Living Ontario. Community Living Ontario presents itself as a charity supporting intellectually disabled people. Its programming included “sheltered workshops”—menial jobs for disabled people that paid far below the minimum wage—until the province outlawed this practice in 2019.
Previously, Borrelli owned and operated several restaurants in the Windsor, Ontario area for 20 years. Before this, she worked as a registered nurse.
Borrelli’s husband, Paul Borrelli, was a city councillor for Windsor who once sought to be nominated as a federal candidate for the Liberals. He was the CEO of Boremic Group, which in 2021 was found to be in default of its corporate tax obligations.
