Blois co-founded the East Hants Sports Heritage Society and served as its president from 2013 to 2019. During this time, he owned and operated a goalie clinic for two seasons and subsequently worked at the business law firm McInnes Cooper.
Blois played Junior A and varsity hockey until the age of 23, eventually becoming a draft pick for the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL).
Blois and his wife jointly own rental properties in Lantz, Truro, and Middleton, Nova Scotia.
