Lena Metlege Diab
Details:
Before being elected to the federal parliament, Diab was Nova Scotia’s Minister of Immigration from 2013 to 2021. Prior to entering politics, she was a partner at the law firm Noseworthy Di Costanzo Diab from 1992 to 2013. Concurrently, she was a special constable enforcing parking regulations at the Nova Scotia Department of Justice from 2003 to 2013.
Diab has been an adjudicator at various Nova Scotia tribunals, including the Motor Vehicle Appeal Board, the Halifax Regional Assessment Appeal Court, and, notably, the Residential Tenancies Board. Diab solely owns 10 rental units in Halifax and jointly owns a further four.
