Marie-France Lalonde

Before becoming a federal MP, Lalonde was a member of the Ontario provincial parliament from 2014 to 2019, including stints as Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services and Minister of Francophone Affairs.
From 2013 to 2014, Lalonde was a sales and marketing director for All Seniors Care, a pan-Canadian chain of seniors’ residences. She was also general manager of Windsor Park Manor, a retirement home in Ottawa, in 2013. From 2008 to 2013, she owned and operated Portobello Manor, a senior’s residence in Ottawa. From 2000 to 2004, she was employed by Central Park Lodges Retirement Residences, eventually becoming its executive director.
She and her husband, Alvaro Granados, jointly own rental properties in Gatineau, Quebec, and Embrun, Ontario. Granados owns two restaurants on the University of Ottawa campus: Le Bac à Frites and Bubble Tea Cravings.
