Before entering politics, Sarai practised law in Surrey, B.C. He is the principal of Sarai Group of Companies. He disclosed in committee testimony that his business interests include “a lot of trucking and logistic companies.”
From 2008 to 2011, Sarai was a vice president at Sprott Resource Lending, a mining financier. From 2008 to 2010, he was president of Pineridge Golf Course Ltd.
Sanai holds a significant interest in 1384424 B.C. Ltd. that owns a restaurant franchise, Chaiiwala of London. He is the sole owner of a rental duplex and four other rental units in Burnaby, B.C., and another rental property in Surrey. He holds a controlling interest in Grand Fairway Development Inc., a real estate holding company.
