Before entering politics, Noormohamed held a number of executive positions at retail companies. Most recently, he was CEO of the clothing and housewares retailer Jane.com from 2019 to 2021. In 2017, he cofounded Casaza, an online retailer of furniture and housewares.
Noormohamed has been employed in the public sector at the Privy Council Office and Public Safety Canada.
Noormohamed holds significant investment assets and owns three rental properties in Vancouver. He is the sole owner of NOTA Capital, a consulting company in Vancouver and holds a significant interest in 1310672 BC Ltd., a real estate holding company with one property located in Vancouver.
