Terry Beech

Beech entered politics at the age of 18, becoming a city councillor for Nanaimo, B.C., from 1999 to 2002. After studying business at Simon Fraser University, he became a director of business development at Aquilini Investment Group, a private investment firm in Vancouver.
Beech then moved to England where he studied business at Oxford and worked as a consultant at Hamilton Bradshaw, a private equity firm owned by James Caan, of Dragon’s Den (UK) fame. He then became a partner at Launch Ventures, a London-based private equity firm.
In 2009, Beech founded Hiretheworld, a tech company that matches business owners with graphic designers. In 2010, he founded Beech Partners, a company which invests in startups. He has also taught business at Simon Fraser University since 2009.
Beech holds an interest in several Vancouver-based companies, including: Inlet Drive Investments Inc., a Vancouver-based graphic design, investment, and consulting company; My Best Helper Solutions Inc., a childcare, home care and elder care networking service; and Nomad Micro Homes Inc., a microhome manufacturer.
Beech is a personal friend of Duncan Sinclair, Chair of Deloitte Canada & Chile. Beech’s wife, Ravi Bansal Beech, is the sole owner of two rental properties in Burnaby, B.C.
