Tim Hodgson

Over the last two decades, Hodgson has sat on the board of several businesses and nonprofits, including the Canadian Investments Regulatory Organization, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Hydro One, the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation, MEG Energy Corp, and the Richard Ivey School of Business.
From 2010 to 2012, Hodgson was an advisor to his former Goldman Sachs colleague Mark Carney while the latter was governor of the Bank of Canada. From 1990 to 2010, Hodgson worked for the investment bank Goldman Sachs, first as Managing Director (1990–2005) and then as its CEO (2005–2010). From 1988 to 1990, he was employed at the investment Salomon Brothers.
Hodgson was a reserve officer in the Canadian military from 1978 to 1986. Previously, he was a chartered accountant at PwC from 1983 to 1986.
Hodgson and his wife, Linda, own a rental property in Toronto.
