Details:

Before his election to parliament, Kmiec was a director at the Human Resources Institute of Alberta from 2013 to 2015. From 2011 to 2013, he was manager of policy research for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
In 2011, Kmiec was an advisor to Jason Kenney while the latter was the federal Minister of Immigration. In 2007, he was an advisor to National Defence Minister Gordon O’Connor.
