Details:

Before being elected to the federal parliament, Osborne was a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador house of assembly from 1996 to 2004 where he held several cabinet positions. Prior to entering politics, he was employed by Statistics Canada and by the real estate developer Penney Group of Companies.
Osborne’s mother, Sheila Osborne, was a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador assembly for 14 years.
