Baldinelli was the senior communications manager for the Niagara Parks Commission, a role he held from 2001 until his election to parliament in 2019.
From 1997 to 2001, Baldinelli was a political consultant at Hill & Knowlton, a public relations firm whose checkered past includes advocacy for the tobacco and fossil-fuel industries, as well as allegations it spread false information to drum up support for the Gulf War.
Baldinelli owns rental farmland in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
