Yves-François Blanchet
Details:
Before becoming an MP, Blanchet owned Diffusion YFB, an artist management company and record label whose clients included rock singer Éric Lapointe and which Blanchet operated from 2014 until becoming the leader of the Bloc Québécois in 2019.
From 2008 to 2014, Blancet was a member of Quebec’s national assembly for the Parti Québécois, becoming the province’s environment minister in 2012.
Blanchet has owned and operated several artist management and marketing businesses, including Productions culturelles Paradigme, Génération, Projets D2, and Disques D7. From 2003 to 2006, he was president of the Quebec Association of the Recording, Spectacle and Video Industry (ADISQ).
In 1988 and 1989, Blanchet was employed by the Parti Québécois’s national youth committee.
