Ontario's health care system in free fall
Year after year, Ontario’s healthcare system is crumbling under the weight of reforms. The government is outsourcing more and more services to the private sector, while cutting the salaries and benefits of those who keep hospitals running. Positions are going unfilled, training programs are struggling to attract participants, and shortages are being used as an excuse to “streamline” operations. Facilities are being closed, services cut, and patients redirected to private clinics.
