The underestimated issue of work-related deaths

Officially, approximately a thousand workers die each year in Canada because of their jobs. In reality, the figure is likely much higher. Official statistics are based on narrow definitions and accounting rules that minimize the scale of the problem. Despite this image of a safe country, surveys show that health and safety at work are often sacrificed in the name of profit.
