One year since historic UK Amazon strikes

“We’ve taken on a giant”

August 5th marked the one year anniversary since 100 Amazon workers at the BHX4 fulfillment centre in Coventry, England walked off their job and became the first Amazon workers to go on strike in UK history. Since then, the organizing effort at the BHX4 warehouse has inspired workers all over the UK and has also attracted international attention. "We're gonna win this fair and square, and hopefully that will give everyone the courage then to stand up." Darren Westwood told a North Star correspondent who was on the ground in Coventry in mid-June, when BHX4 workers were on out on strike for three consecutive days.
